Some of our families will get this type of G tube during endoscopy by a pediatric Gastroenterologist or a surgeon. As of this post, there are several brands so pay attention to your unit or post photos to get better help.

Generally speaking all systems have (see attached photo for reference)
- Internal bolster (doesn't need replacement, holds tube inside the stomach)
- External holder a variation of crossbar or clamp. This one may need replacement and in some models can be removed entirely
- Clamp this one can be replaced but you have to likely remove Y-adaptor
- Y- Adaptor. This is the part that is most commonly changed out when doing a repair. This can be bought from several places, make sure it fits the right french (12 for most of our kiddos).

As of this post brands that make PEGs include
  • Boston Scientific
  • Cook Medical
  • Medtronic (formerly Covidien)
  • Fresenius Kabi
  • Bard (now part of BD)
  • Avanos Medical (formerly Halyard Health)
  • Vygon
